RE: Angelo Restivo's query re: "1900" in high school:
  Alfred Wilder was dismissed by the Golden, CO school board for showing "1900"
to his logic and debate class without obtaining permission from the school's
principal.  He had been suspended in March, 1995.  "Officials objected to
nudity, drug use, and violence portrayed in the movie about Italian fascism...
[Director Bernardo] Bertolucci testified by telephone in suport of Wilder in
February.  He defended his portrayal of Italian fascism as an accurate
depiction of the atrocities of the time."
