WOMAN AGING bodies cultures generations--a conference at the Center
for Twentieth Century Studies of Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
 
The conference will focus on the representation and self-presentation
of woman in mid-life and the later years, with an emphasis on visual
culture (photography, video, film), literature (the novel,
auto/biography, and the memoir), performance, consumer and medical
culture, feminist theory, and cultural history.
 
Registration begins at 12:00pm, Thursday, April 18, 1996. Conference
begins at 1:00pm in Curtin Hall 175, 3243 N. Downer Ave. Milwaukee.
Pre-conference screening of film and video begin at 9:00am in Curtin
175.
 
Fee: General $25, Graduate students $15
