I have a question as a researcher for Radio-Quebec, an educational TV
station that broadcasts across the province. We'll be showing the film _V'la
le cinema ou le roman de Charles Pathe_ on March 3rd, and in doing
background research, I stumbled upon the statement (in Larousse's
_Dictionnaire du cinema_) that Gaumont had purchased Pathe after Charles
Pathe's death in 1957, but there are no details. Does anyone know in what
year exactly this transaction took place, and if there are any interesting
details connected with it?
You can email me directly at: [log in to unmask], or send it to
SCREEN-L. Thanks for your help!
