If you know of any students who are interested in studying British and
Scandinavian film and TV in London, England, and Trondheim, Norway,
during the month of June in 1996, please tell them to get in touch with
me via email ([log in to unmask]) or by telephone (919) 962-4960. If
they would like to receive a short hand-out with more specific
information and application materials, they can contact the Summer
School, 200 Pettigrew Hall, CB#3340, UNC-CH, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-3340,
telephone (919) 966-4364.

This program is open to university students at UNC and elsewhere. We
will study for two weeks in central London and then study for two weeks
in Trondheim. Previous lecturers have included Ian Christie, Laura
Mulvey, Phillip Drummond, Jostein Grypsrud, Stig Kulset, and Bjorn
Sorenssen, among others. There is also time set aside for travel on
weekends. The program runs from June 3 to June 28, 1996. A few slots
are still available, but registration with the Summer School is due by
March 1, 1996. Students receive 6 credit hours for two courses: one
focussing up on the history of British and Scandinavian film and TV and
the other focussing upon contemporary British and Scandinavian film and TV.
