 I don't think the issue of nationality is something that means that much to
Mr. Lear/Godard... not in the face of HELAS POR MOI, GERMANY YEAR 90...
CHILDREN PLAY RUSSIAN etc.
 
He is a man/person "and no better than any other" without a country... isn't
that the point. His "country" is cinema... take another look at JLG PAR JLG.
