I offer these two films with tongue slightly in cheek, but not fully - for
obvious reasons:
 
1) Flower Drum Song
2) Big Trouble in Little China
 
#1 might be a useful compare and contrast study. #2, because it's just
plain fun to watch and the MacGuffin is the kidnapping of a young Chinese
immigrant.
