I subscribe to this list because I work at Oxford University Press and market
one of our journals, _Screen_. I read Don Larsson's request for a text on
 world
cinema to use with his class. He said that someone thought Oxford published
such a text. I asked a colleague and he knew of two texts: Monaco's _How to
 Read
a Film_ (1981 ed., revised edition later this year) and _Film Theory and
Criticism_ by Mast (1992). You can discuss with a customer service rep
 examining a
copy, etc.: 1-800-451-7556. I hope that this is of some help to you.
