Just a thought Kristine but in many science fiction films (and other
genres) there is always somebody being cut off from talking by noises of
every descriptions (e.g., lasers blasts, gun shots, saucer noises). I'm
also reminded of the haunting "whistle" at the end of *Fail-Safe* (1964)
although this might not match your criteria.
