Just in case you really want to survey into off-maintstream cinema you
could check MUJER TRANSPARENTE, a Cuban film made of 4 short
stories about women. In particular the last one, directed by ANA RODRIGUEZ
is excellet. It is about two girldfriends who get apart after one of them
leaves
to the United States. The story takes place in a hotel lobby in Havana
while the
friend
who stayed reminds old times while waiting for the other to come down.

Another is the Argentine film YO, LA PEOR DE TODAS, by MARIA LUISA
BEMBERG (she died about two months ago. Among her well known films is
CAMILA, which was nominated for the Academy for foreign film award some
years ago.

It probably will not be very difficult for you to trace YO, LA PEOR... in
Canada.

If you canUt though, contact me.
By coincidence, film MUJER TRANSPARENTE was bought for a local TV network
in Burnaby, BC.
