As the original questioner on the topic of of diegetic, I'm extremely
thankful for all the elucidating responses - I certainly did not expect so
many! I feel I now have a solid understanding on the diegetic concept and
excellent references to pursue further investigation.
 
 Just one last question: how is it pronounced? My guess is just like it
looks: die-ghetic. If someone could let me know, I think I'll be pretty up
on the diegetic "thang."
