Chris Marker's Le fond de l'air est rouge (or something like that) is the
best overall 1968 documentary I can remember, situating happenings in France
with those around the world--but it does not present it as a terrible year.
   In France available through a company called (I think) KMR, but can't find
the address right now.  Runs about 4 hours...
