Course, it's just a matter of time and the lack thereof.  As SCREEN-L's
maintainer I spend about 1/2 an hour per day every day dealing with error
messages caused by defunct addresses.  (I see the freakin' things in
my sleep.)  Moderating is comparatively pleasant:  I read (fast), I
hit a key and a macro sends it off to SCREEN-L.
 
But I can't afford to increase the time spent moderating SCREEN-L so I can't
afford to do anything with killed messages.  Now, if I were preparing a
paper on computer-mediated communication and needed some data, I might
find those stats right handy.  But for now, I just can't handle it.
