Pull a *Clerks* and spend your money on a film that will get noticed at
Telluride. Or go to AFI, USC or NYU or Columbia in that order (USC and AFI
could be interchanged.) and only for the contacts. Build a reel and a resume
and make contacts, make contacts, make contacts. Other than that decide
exactly what it is u want to do and head for it with no deviations. No one in
the biz wants to deal with someone who is trying to find themself. The name
of the game is to convimce those that can help that you can help them. The
key is to be in the mix. Of course it is possible to make it outside the mix
but u have to get people to notice you. I do have war stories. When I get
thru making my mistakes I'll let you know.
