I do not want to establish any controversial points. What follows it
is just a personnal point of view.
THERE IS a more wonderful aquarium scene than the one in LADY FROM SANGHAI.
Don't forget the extraordinarius aquarium sequence in
Stanley Donen's "ARABESQUE", with all kind of fishes and anfibious animals
"following" one of the most curious couple in the history of cinema:
Gregory (egiptologist) Peck and Sofia (white leather boots) Loren.
I remember a shot in which a leopard-shark cross the frame "trying"
to catch Sofia's reflection on its fish tank. What a sugerent and
sensual sequence! (Great music and ambience track, also)
Since I have lost part of the messages of this discussion topic,
please disregard my message if somebody pointed out "ARABESQUE"
before.
Cheers.
