Hello,
since some of you lamented the absence of info on "other" film festivals,
which are not the higly hyped Cannes, here's some that should at least
cover some ground for the Venice Film Festival which is being held these
days.
For some technical problems a "real" internet connection will not be
available until wednesday or thursday next week but it is possible to
connect via PPP.
So for now, to connect, call:

++39 41 2760628

Communication parameter are N81.

Login: venezia94
Password: iol
gateway and name server: 194.20.24.1 (www.iol.it).

From wednesday/thursday on you'll be able to connect via the WWW at:

URL: http://www.iol.it/index.html

This experimental service is offered by ItaliaOnline (sic) and Ente dello
Spettacolo
You will be able to:
query the dalabase of the Ente dello Spettacolo (actors, directors,
abstracts of more than 35000 movies) and consult the program for each day
of the Festival (shows, press briefings, special events, etc).
Good luck (and believe me, in getting through anything organized by the
Ente dello Spettacolo, you need lots of it).
