Subject: No Sin in Cincinnati/NCAC amicus brief

A recent mailing from the National Coalition Against Censorship reports
that charges of "pandering obscenity" have been filed against The Pink
Pyramid (a bookstore) and its owner, manager, and clerk. Seems that an
undercover Cincinnati vice squadder rented a videotape of Pier Paolo
Pasolini's "Salo: 120 Days of Sodom."

As part of their campaign, NCAC is "recruiting museums, film societies,
scholars, critics, and directors, to join in a friend-of-the-court brief
about the literary, artistic, and political value of the film," in
support of a motion to dismiss.

I have not seen the film and do not know the current status of the case
(the form mailing has a September date); however, some on this list might
qualify as expert witnesses or wish to join in the brief or whatever.
