All previous suggestions seconded, including the books mentioned, which were
available last year in the States.  There is also an extremely important
book reference on this original query (I know nothing about the TV
documentary query): _Don't Shoot Darling!_, editors include Barbara Creed.
I've read this book because it was available at my U's library, but I
couldn't obtain a copy despite serious efforts both here and in the States.
_Don't Shoot_  covers all aspects of women and film in Australia and was
current up to a only 2-3 years ago.
