STARSTRUCK *is* available on video (both tape and disk, according to Maltin)
and well worth a look.  New Zealanders may bridle at Campion's inclusion on
the list, but *do* look at THE PIANO, which you may recall was nominated for
an Oscar (along with Campion for Best Director, only the second woman to
receive such a nomination, as I recall).
 
There is at least one academic study of Australian film (a few years old
now), titled THE LAST NEW WAVE [good title!].
