On 8/4 Stuart said. " In addition, the possibilities of a sequel are
often in place before the first on is out (Casablanca II anyone?)."

Just in case not everybody knows: Warner Books (the hacks! ) has hired two
writers to do a book sequel to Casablanca, imaginatively titled "Casablanca,
the Sequel". The writers are Gerald Petievich, "To Live and Die in LA" and
Gabrielle Humphreys, a mystery writer (no pun intended). The book will be
followed by a tv mini-series. I can hardly wait.

But, in addition: there was a proposal for a sequel way back in '43 - Rick
and Ilsa lived happily ever after.
