There's a wonderful/awful Paul Verhoeven film called Flesh and Blood.
It stars Jenifer Jason Leigh and Rutger Hauer (sp? on both of them).
There's much eating, as well as debauchery, pillaging, a still birth
and various disemboweled corpses, which is par for the course for
Verhoeven. If you're interested in the relation between eating and
other alimentary activities, this may be a good film to watch. It
could be called good unclean fun. Although how Rutger Hauer got a
biker tatoo in the Middle Ages is never really explained....

Very truly,
Edward R. O'Neill, UCLA
