I promise I'll keep this short. Thanks to both Denise and Alison. I agree that
oversimplified responses (positive or negative) to Thelma and
Louise--characters or movie--are problematic--though all my screaming horde
academic feminist friends agree to that too. I think that Denise's difference
BETWEEN "mainstream" and "academic" feminists is also a difference WITHIN
academic feminism. I agree about Judy Davis. And I agree about the martini.
