Paige McThenia's query about women artists is interesting. One
coming to mind is Mrs. (Name Unknown) de Winter II--Maxim's
mousey wife in REBECCA. She is often seen sketching Maxim, her
unwisely-chosen ball gown, etc. She mentions that her father,
no doubt a lovely eccentric, was an artist fixated on painting
a single tree.
