I'm a lurker on SCREEN-L so you may think my opinion more or
less valuable for that concerning the issue of moderating
the list. If there are 417 subscribers, than we lurkers
are in the majority, although I hardly believe, gaining as
I do from the time of others, that the majority has any
special status in this instance. Nonetheless, I would say
that the tide of e-mail is sometimes oppressive in my life
and in general I therefore prefer moderated lists. HOWEVER,
most important is that contributors make their msgs pointed,
and I think screen-litarians have been generally quite good
about that. Also, Jeremy failed to mention one other drawback:
the cost to him in time. My view, then: if you want to do
it Jeremy, thanks and proceed; but if you don't want to do
it, I'm more than content.

Either way, I'm glad to have screen-l.

Best,

Eric
