Well, Rick, I looked up some stuff for you about "The Magus"
and "Beat the Devil" but wasn't able to get it posted before
other eager beavers covered your questions. Nevertheless, I
found this: "The Magus" was released in 1968 by 20th Century Fox
and starred Anthony Quinn, Michael Caine, and Candice Bergen.
Guy Green directed, and the screenplay was written by John
Fowles, based upon his novel. There's no info on this being
available on tape. It was a box office bomb, which means it may
be slow to hit the tape market. Personal comment: I saw the
movie when it was first released and I walked out on it. I
very rarely did that, but "The Magus" just seemed to slow, dull,
and plodding for me. --- "Beat the Devil" is pretty easy to
find on tape. I bought my copy from Wal-Mart for about $10. I've
seen it in drug stores, even supermarkets. But you can certainly]
order it from Movies Unlimited for about $20. Call 1-800-523-0823.
        Ernie.
