I have heard of an off-switch on television sets.  But televisions is not
the discussion it is rather the Ac ademy
 awards as representative of a industry.  And furthermore what it means when
the award ceremony is presented in such a way as to exemplify the dominant
patriarchal paradigm that defines Hollywood.  The best way to address problems i
   s not to shut them off or turn to re-runs but rather to examine what is worng
    and try to change it.
 
In regards to Unforgiven-the film centers arounda gunman hired to kill a man who
    cut up a prostitutes face.  All the women in the film are prostitutes--so mu
   ch
for positive roles for women in Hollywood.
