Malcolm, and others,
        Damn, I started this discussiona and it's gone nowhere...
What I was trying to do was to draw a parallel between Redford as
John Gage (Indecent Proposal) and Jay Gatsby...I think that they
have a great deal in common...I also was trying to see who else
thought that both films reflect the moral spirit of the times...
but it looks like there a no takers.  Oh well.
