To add to Angel's list of films featuring Asian-American romances: you
might check out SAYONARA, which was quite scathing about U.S. hypocrisy
in its antifraternalization policy. GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM included a hint
of a romance that had political implications and that was certainly
marked by differing expectations in terms of culture and language. Those
two are all that come to mind at the moment.
