Just a side note. I know of a couple of radio pirates myself. And as for
television. There is this one guy claiming to be from Nebraska who pirates
satellite time by showing foreign films and paradoy commercials. There is
another guy who uses slow scan TV via shortwave to broadcast, let's say
questionable obscene material. And there is a guy I've been told about
by freinds in Tallahasee (sp?) Florida who has a weak television signal for
his station called WERD-TV. According to my friend Bill, who works as a
news photographer at a station down there, this TV pirate is quite well known
and shows uncut videos.
More about HDTV later. I will transcribe some information from the lastest
BROADCASTING MAGAZINE.
