re: HDTV obsolete before it's available.
     Seems plausible.  My computer monitor has higher resolution than
     HDTV in 5-8 years.  Many stations are questioning the financial
     outlay.  Most people are now content with 200-line VHS movies at
     home and are unlikely to shell out $800 for an HDTV.  Nicholas(?)
     Negroponte at MIT keeps claiming that the problem with TV is not
     HDTV, it's *content*!  I couldn't agree more.
