 Richard: Are you interested in films that played to mass audiences? If
so, how about *Not Without My Daughter*; Sally
Field played the title role. I didn't see it, but I believe it was adapted
from a book that was
essentially a first person accounting of an American mother who was trying
to get her daughter back from her ex-husband who was from a Mid-Eastern
country; probably highlights cultural differences as well as the extremes
of maternal sacrifice.
