Last week Monisha, one of the most promising young actresses in
Indian films, was killed in a car accident. One of her films
PERUNTHACHAN (a name)/THE MASTER CARPENTER (91)
had some festival exposure in the west and I read that someone
was interested in distributing it here. She was best known for her
roles in films written or directed by M.T. Vasudevan Nair
(Malayalam language) such as CHANGE OF SEASONS and NAIL
MARKS (also a Tamil version: POLLEN FROM FLOWERS).
