In several weeks ago, the movie club in our school (NSYSU) wanted

to show a film. I do not know what is it name in English, because it

is a Japan film.  But school stop it , because they say it is about

salacity.

    This film is adapted from a social case that made a greatsensation

all over Japan in 1936 . A woman cut away her lover`s sexual organs and

carry it walking in Tokey . She was seized by the policeman after four

days .

    This film was completed in 1975 and it investor is French, but it

director is Japanese. When this film showed in Europe first , it gave

rise to much controversy and discussion.

    Does this film express art or salacity ? I feel it is art. But why

school say it is salacity. Hope someone has seen this film can tell me

your opinion. I have another question. What university in Taiwan has

showed this film in public ?  Thank you.
