Any list of medieval films for teaching should include the 1930's Holly-
wood film (little known, I'm afraid) _If I Were King_, with Basil
Rathbone as Weird Louis XI ("The Spider King"), and Ronald Colman (I seem
to remember) as Francois Villon.
