Gilbert,
      Its got to be ten years now since the landmark case of Disney vs
Sony in which the Supreme court ruled that it is OK to tape for home/
personal use. However, they were very careful to state in the ruling
that they were not addressing any venue other than home/personal taping
and specifically to adressing taping by educational institutions. Do not
however, bring those tapes to class since as soon as they enter the
classroom they become illegal copies and are not allowable under the
fair use guidlines which specifies that for fair use you must have a
legally acquired tape. Sort of a catch-22.
