Per-Course Visitor for class on Black American Cinema
Wesleyan University
Spring 2021

Wesleyan University’s College of Film and the Moving Image seeks a per-course visitor in Film Studies to teach an upper-level undergraduate class on Black American Cinema in Spring Semester 2021. Focus of the course depends on the specialization of the scholar/teacher. Possibilities include a historical survey of major Black filmmakers, comparative study of auteurs, examination of specific genres etc. Emphasis on formal analysis is welcome. Our curriculum unifies media studies with production in a liberal-arts setting and emphasizes audience-centered artistic practice.

To apply, send a letter of application, curriculum vitae, and a sample syllabus to Scott Higgins, Director of CFILM [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. For full consideration, applications must be received by October 10, 2020.
