related to the CW television series *Supernatural*.


Join us for the 40h Annual Southwest Popular / American Culture Association
Conference, February 20-23, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, New
Mexico.

Proposal submission deadline: *November 1, 201**8**.*


Any and all topics will be considered, although we especially encourage
proposals on:

   -

   Narrative Structure
   -

   Genre conventions
   -

   Fandom/Fan culture
   -

   Representations of socioeconomic class, gender & sexuality, and race &
   ethnicity
   -

   Representations of myth, religion, and (urban) legend
   -

   Uses of violence
   -

   Music in the show
   -

   The series’ response to/engagement with metatextuality and/or fandom
   -

   The series longevity/influence
