Dear Scholar,

While the deadline to apply to the Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program<http://www.cies.org/program/core-fulbright-us-scholar-program> for 2017-2018 has passed for most awards, a select number of opportunities remain open for new applications until Monday, September 12th. The full list of open Core awards can be found in the Catalog of Awards here: (https://catalog.cies.org/viewOpenAwards.aspx).

There are 47 open awards, spanning different disciplines, countries, and activities. The following awards might be of particular interest:

Europe: Fulbright-Terra Foundation Award in the History of American Art<https://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=7005&dc=01>
Hungary: Fulbright-University of Pécs Grant<https://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=7234&dc=HU>
India: Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Awards (All Disciplines)<https://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=7428&dc=IN>
Malta: All Disciplines<https://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=7277&dc=MT>
France: Nord Pas de Calais Regional Council Award<https://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=7212&dc=FR>

Once you have identified an award to apply for, the application guidelines<http://www.cies.org/application-guidelines> should illuminate the next steps in the process. The review committees consider the impact of the proposed project, academic merit and leadership potential of the applicant, and feasibility given the scholar's background. You can begin or continue an application here: http://www.cies.org/application-login

Feel free to contact me with any questions, my colleagues and I are happy to assist throughout the application process.

Best regards,

Caitlin
