Lecturer - Film and Screen Studies, Monash University, Melbourne

The Film and Screen Studies Section within the School of Media, Film and
Journalism is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and dynamic
lecturer. You will join one of the largest and most highly regarded film
studies programs in Australia. You will become part of a school
committed to innovative teaching practices and the maintenance of a
vibrant and internationally engaged research culture across the fields
of media practice, media studies, cultural studies, film theory and
criticism, as well as in several interdisciplinary fields.

As the successful candidate, you will undertake teaching and
coordination in the section's undergraduate and honours program and will
be encouraged to take innovative approaches to curriculum development
and delivery, particularly through the integration of media practice
into the study of screen culture. You will engage in original and
innovative research and contribute to the Film and Screen Studies
Section's research culture.

To be successful, you will be an established scholar with a record of
research in at least one area of Screen Studies and a specialisation in
an aspect of Television Studies is particularly desirable. Your research
profile will enhance the section's and the school's ability to attract
and supervise excellent graduate research students. In addition, you
will be required to demonstrate experience in the teaching and
coordination of undergraduate and/or honours programs.
