Hi all,

THE UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT

 <>The Department of Art & Art History seeks an artist-scholar to teach a range of undergraduate courses in media production within a liberal arts environment. Fluency in digital/video production is required, and additional experience in related fields such as animation, film/cinema, installation, and/or transmedia storytelling is desired. Preference will be given to artists who can demonstrate an integrative approach in connecting studio practice to media history and theory. <>
MFA, strong record of media production and exhibitions, and teaching experience beyond the TA level is required. Candidates should possess a broad knowledge of media history, contemporary art issues, and studio practice. <>
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct an active program of creative activity, teach at all levels, and advise undergraduate students, in addition to professional contributions and service.

The Department of Art & Art History offers a B.A. in Studio Art, a B.A. in Art History, and a B.S. in Art Education. The successful candidate will also be an affiliated faculty member in the Film and Television Studies Program, located in the English Department.
