The School of Film and Television Studies is pleased to announce that it will be nominating another 2 AHRC-funded MA and 2 AHRC-funded PhD studentships starting in October 2012.

For UK students, awards consist of fees and maintenance and for EU residents awards are on a fees only basis. We are also pleased to announce that the Arts and Humanities Faculty is offering an additional 30 University-funded PhD studentships and a number of MA scholarships available to students from within or outside the EU. While applicants will compete for these with students applying to other schools in the faculty, applicants to FTV have a strong track record in winning these studentships. For instance, last year, among FTV’s intake of new PhD students approximately half received studentships to help them pursue their studies.

If you are interested in applying for a PhD in Film and Television Studies at UEA, please contact the School’s Director of Postgraduate Research Melanie Williams ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> ) who will help guide you through the process. You may also wish to consult our list of staff and their research interests for guidance on possible supervisory expertise: http://www.uea.ac.uk/ftv/People

Those interested in MA applications should contact Mark Rimmer, the Leader of Postgraduate Taught Programmes ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> ) in the first instance.

The deadline for receipt of applications for those wishing to be considered for MA or PhD funding is 17th February 2012.

More information and details of how to apply can be found at: http://www.uea.ac.uk/futurestudents/uk/postgraduates/admissions/pgtadmissions (for MA applications) http://www.uea.ac.uk/futurestudents/uk/postgraduates/admissions/pgradmissions (for PhD applications)

Alternatively, please contact the UEA Humanities Graduate School: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
