Description of Duties:            The Department of English and Media Studies at Bentley University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Filmmaking. We seek a candidate with a strong record of professional achievement, a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and evidence of service. Demonstrated expertise in documentary filmmaking is desirable. Other areas of specialization may include animation, sound design, editing, or experimental digital media.
Expertise in multimedia production and a successful record of bridging theory and practice in the classroom are highly desirable. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active professional record of juried or peer-reviewed creative work, possibly supported by refereed publication. The candidate will contribute to the development of the department's growing program. Salary, benefits, and teaching load are competitive. 
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D., MFA, or equivalent record of experience in the area of media and film production. Prior teaching experience at the college level required. ABD applications must have terminal degree on or before July 1, 2012.
