Most likely New Yorker Films will not honor open orders. You should cancel any outstanding orders and try to obtain the DVDs from another supplier. If you're talking about 16mm or 35mm film rentals, consider them cancelled unless you have already received the film before they closed up shop.

Subject: [SCREEN-L] New Yorker Films is gone

Just saw the news that New Yorker Films is out of business and wondered if anyone out there has information about what this means with regard to their library of films. The reason I ask is that I've got outstanding orders with them for this semester but have been unable to reach them. I would imagine that they would continue to honor open orders, but I can also imagine being quite wrong about that. Any help would be appreciated.
