It's worth noting here that while I know relatively few young female
students who self-identify as feminists, if you actually talk to them
about their views of gender and society, every one of them in fact is
a feminist. The ways the term itself has been discursively warped by
various conservatisms, such that feminists often reject the
designation, is another topic.
