Wisconsin-Madison is soliciting applications for a visiting assistant
professor in Media and Cultural Studies for the 2007-08 academic year.

The visiting faculty member will be responsible for teaching two
undergraduate classes, CA250, Survey of Radio-TV-Film as Mass Media and
CA 451, Television Criticism. Media and Cultural Studies is one of four
departmental areas of concentration, emphasizing the study of electronic

globalization, gender, sexuality, and new media. The program embraces a
range of critical/cultural methodologies and approaches, including
historical, textual, institutional, and audience studies. We encourage
applicants with research and teaching interests in any of these areas.

PhD is strongly preferred, but candidates who are ABD will be
