The Department of Communication at Georgia State University invites
applications for an anticipated tenure-track assistant professor
specializing in Race/Ethnicity/Nationality in Film/Television.  Ph.D.
and research program commensurate with doctoral program advisement
required.  We are seeking candidates whose research agenda involves the
study of cultural difference in moving image media; additional areas of
expertise might include critical race theory, non-European
film/television, transnational media, and/or post-colonial theory.   The
successful candidate will teach in a doctoral program in moving image
studies, as well as undergraduate/graduate courses in film/video and
screenwriting. Send letter of application, vita, transcripts, evidence
of teaching effectiveness and three letters of recommendation to Dr.
Greg Smith, Search Committee Chair, Department of Communication, Georgia
State University, P.O. Box 4000, Atlanta, Ga., 30302-4000.  Reviews of
