Associate or Advanced Assistant Professor of Cinema Studies and Media Studies

DePaul University, Chicago

 

The Department of Communication at DePaul University seeks an established scholar at the associate professor level or advanced assistant level to contribute to our growing programs in cinema studies and media studies. Successful candidates will have expertise in at least two of the following areas: documentary film and video, non-western film, cinema aesthetics, race and/or ethnicity in film, gender/sexuality in film. The Department is particularly interested in applicants who will develop curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate level in the areas of documentary film/video, cinema studies, and/or media studies. Experience in film/video production a plus. DePaul is committed to recruiting a diverse faculty to complement the diversity of its student body. Applicants should send a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching excellence, a writing sample and three letters of recommendation to: Cinema Studies and Media Studies Search Committee, Department of Communication, DePaul University, 2320 N.
