Political Economy, Communication Technology, International Media Studies. 
Assistant tenure track or Associate Professor with tenure for fall 
semester, 2006.  Qualifications must be commensurate with rank.  Applicants 
should have completed the Ph.D. and be able to teach, conduct research and 
supervise graduate students in aspects of political economy and technology, 
telecommunications, the Internet, or media institutions in a global 
context. Expertise in international area studies is desirable, as is 
expertise with quantitative research methods. The closing date for 
applications is December 9, 2005.

The Department of Radio-Television-Film has 25 permanent faculty, 
approximately 900 undergraduate majors & 150 graduate students pursuing 
Ph.D., M.A. or M.F.A. degrees.  RTF offers courses in film & video 
production, screenwriting, film & television studies, international 
communication, telecommunication technology & policy, convergent media 
research & design, gender & sexuality, & ethnic issues in
