THE CRITICAL STUDIES DIVISION OF THE SCHOOL OF CINEMA-TELEVISION AT THE 
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA announces two positions to commence in 
fall 2006.**

Position One:  Global Media
Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor**

The Division is seeking a colleague with a research focus in global 
film, television, +/or new media.  The successful candidate will 
demonstrate scholarly interests in regionality, transnational 
identities, political economy, and/or diasporic media flows.  An 
expertise in African, Latin American, Middle Eastern, Third Cinema, +/or 
indigenous media is of particular interest.

Position Two: Gender/Sexuality/Queer Theory
Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor**

The Division is seeking a colleague with primary research expertise in 
the areas of gender, sexuality, +/or queer theory.  The ability to 
support our curricular needs in the areas of silent cinema, critical 
theory, +/or television/new media is also desirable.
