All Movies definitely has the basics down. One correction in the email, 
Turell and Becker bought Janus in 1957 if memory serves right. In Dan Talbot's 
acceptance speech at the IFP last year, he spoke quite movingly about Haliday and 
Harvey who were indeed two of the early giants of the indie art distribution 
world.
