Fandango is one that comes immediately to mind. Group of college graduates
decide to go on a road trip prior to being drafted for service in Vietnam.
One of them is suppose to get married but is coaxed into joining the trip.
Along the way they also contemplate skipping off to Mexico to avoid the
draft. Each character has different motives and varying degrees of
committment to their upcoming adult duties but, in the end, they learn to
face these. And, in the case of Kevin Costner's character, reconcile with
his past love.

I was pleasantly surprised by this often under-rated film which manages to
find the right balance of scenes dealing with these serious concerns, with
an equal assortment of carefree/silly moments of youthful idiocy (e.g. the
scene where they figure on using a train to tow their car)
